spam v spammed; spamming : to maliciously and often illegally disperse or distribute electronic mail and/or electronic mailing addresses to an exceptionally large list of recipients, often rendering a mail file or website useless due to message overflow.
ex: "Mere minutes after purchasing my concert tickets, I got spammed with 756 offers for magazine subscriptions."
